James L. Nesbitt - President/CEO
Jim Nesbitt graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Construction Engineering. Jim has grown up with the company, from working summers with the company to managing different company divisions. Jim has worked his way from laborer to project engineer, project superintendent, and company vice-president to current position as President of Nesbitt Contracting. President and CEO since 1993, Jim oversees all operations of the Company, with emphasis on engineering and construction operations.
John A. Nesbitt - First Vice-President
John Nesbitt was one of the first graduates in ASU?s Computer Science/Engineering degree program when it was inaugurated in 1978. Like Jim, John also began working part-time at the company while still in high school and later while attending college. Well recognized throughout the industry for his ideas and inventiveness in the manufacture of specialized and computer-controlled milling and recycling machinery, he now oversees all technical operations and equipment at Nesbitt Contracting and APP.
Michael J. Elliott - Executive Vice-president
Mike Elliott is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine (BA - 1965) and A.S.U. (MA - 1972). After graduation, Mike taught in the Mesa Public School System for nine years. He joined the company in 1981 as a manager with Century Materials. Mike is now in charge of corporate affairs, public relations, human resources, governmental relations, safety, risk management, and special projects.
Steven L. Roulo - Financial Vice-President/Controller
Steve Roulo was educated at Michigan State University, having graduated with a degree in Business Administration. After extensive experience as controller for two other general contractors, he joined Nesbitt Contracting in December 2001. His responsibilities include supervision of the accounting department, managing cash flow, and preparation of major financial reports, as well as functioning as Office Manager in our financial division.
Ruben R. Trujillo - General Superintendent
A graduate of St. Mary?s High School in Phoenix, Ruben has been with Nesbitt Contracting since 1968, longer than any other Board Member except Tom Nesbitt. In his 22 years with the firm, Ruben has risen from apprentice cement finisher to General Superintendent, overseeing millions of dollars of work and hundreds of employees.
